This Global Comparison of research-based pharmaceutical Codes of Marketing Practices Chart (Part 1 & Part 2) is the collected feedback from IFPMA member associations and provides a general overview of national and regional associations’ Codes and the associated provisions. This chart reflects the 2006 revision of the IFPMA Code. An updated Comparison chart will be available in 2012 to reflect the new IFPMA Code of Practice (2012 revision).
The Comparison Chart serves as a useful tool that provides a snapshot of the global research-based pharmaceutical industry’s self-regulation mechanisms and the commitment of IFPMA members to ethical promotion of medicines, to healthcare professionals, for the safety and benefit of patients worldwide.
It should be noted that the intention of the chart is not to provide a comprehensive analysis of regional and national association Codes or the IFPMA position. In addition, it does not include a precise account of national Codes’ requirements, depth of coverage or additional provisions. For detailed information regarding provisions in a specific country, please refer to the respective national Codes. To access IFPMA national member association Codes please click here
