Director of Pharmacy and Medicines of Senegal since 2013, Amadou Moctar Dieye is also Professor at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar since 2008. Previously, he held various positions within the Ministry of Health of Senegal and within the Economic and Monetary Union of West Africa (UEMOA). Professor Amadou Moctar Dieye also offers his expertise to learned societies, numerous scientific journals and the Senegalese Army where he holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Ms Claire Hedon is based in Paris and has more than 20 years’ experience as a
seasoned journalist covering all types of content from economy, society and
environment. She has extensive experience with Radio France Internationale.
Since 2003, Ms Hedon is in charge of the health show “Health Priority” or
“Priorité Santé” in French where the sole focus is on global health. The aim of
her show is to raise awareness, inform the public of their rights, and highlight
the availability of and access to treatments.

Dr. Vincent Ahonkhai is currently a Senior Regulatory Officer at the Bill and
Melinda Gates Foundation in Seattle Washington; Washington, DC. He retired as
Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Prior to that, he
was Vice President, Global Clinical Safety, Pharmacovigilance, GSK, and Vice
President; Director, Clinical and Medical Affairs for Anti-Infectives and Biologicals, former
SmithKline Beecham. He also held senior level positions at Merck and R.W. Johnson
Pharmaceutical Research Institute in product development encompassing Phase I to Phase V
programs and Medical Affairs. His expertise includes U.S., and global drug development in
multiple therapeutic areas.

Dr Caturla joined the Janssen Global Regulatory Affairs department in 2006.
She is currently the Global Access Regulatory Lead at Janssen Infectious
Diseases BVBA, part of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson &
Johnson. Dr. Caturla is acting as the Janssen WHO Regulatory liaison and
facilitates processes for the listing of drugs in the WHO List of Prequalification
Medicinal Products to allow for faster access to essential treatments.
Dr Caturla is also the Johnson & Johnson representative and current Chair of the African
Regulatory Network (ARN), an ad hoc regional network of the International Federation of
Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA), official stakeholder of the African
Medicines Regulatory Harmonization (AMRH) Advisory Committee. Dr Caturla is based in
Brussels.

Dr Traoré occupied several posts in Burkina Faso starting as Clinician with the
National Hospital of Ouagadougou, Chief District Health Officer of Gourcy,
Provincial Health Director, Head of Cooperation Services of the Department of
Studies and Planning at the Ministry of Health, Director of Studies and
Planning at the Ministry of Health, manager of Evaluation Monitoring with the
Technical Secretariat of the National Health Development Plan, Coordinator of
the Health System Decentralisation Support Unit, Programme Officer, and now
current Director of Health, Social Protection and Mutual Insurance of the Commission of the
WAEMU. Dr Traoré is based in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

West African Health Organization (WAHO) Mrs Ossei-Agyeman-Yeboah is Officer in
charge of Essential Medicines and Vaccines in West African Health Organization
(WAHO), AU/NEPAD/AMRH Advisory Committee Member, Observer Status of the
United State Pharmacopoeial Convention and a member of the United States
Pharmacopoeia, Centre for Pharmaceutical Advancement and Training Advisory
Group. Mrs Ossei-Agyeman-Yeboah has a rich experience in policies, legislation,
regulations and guidelines. She held several positions from Management
Consultant, Lecturer at Kumasi Polytechnic, Head of Manufacturing unit at Komfo
Anokye Teaching Hospital. Vice-President of Ladies Pharmacists Association of
Ghana and President from 2005-2010. Governing Board Member, Constitutional Committee Member,
Public Health Committee Member and Director of Governance and Non-Governance Directorate,
Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana. Ghana Representative for the Africa Pharmaceutical Forum issues in
International Pharmaceutical Federation.

General Delegate of Fondation Chirac for Access to quality healthcare and
medicines, Marc Gentilini is also President of the association OPALS (PanAfrican
Organization for the Fight against AIDS) and Honorary President of the French
Academy of Medicine. Grand Officer of the Légion of Honor, he has also been
President of the French Red Cross from 1997 to 2004. Professor Marc Gentilini is a
well-known specialist in tropical diseases and headed from 1970 to 1998 the
department of neglected tropical diseases of the Hospital of La Pitié-Salepêtrière
(Paris).

Dr Andreas Seiter is a Senior Health Specialist and expert for pharmaceutical
policy and management at the World Bank’s Health, Nutrition and Population
Global Practice. He joined the Bank in January 2004 and is responsible for
analytical and advisory work in all areas of pharmaceutical policy, such as
regulation, governance, quality assurance, financing, pharmacy benefit
management, supply chain and rational use. He has been working with Bank
teams, policy makers and experts on the client side in more than 25 countries in
Africa, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and South Asia. Dr Seiter
leads the Bank’s work on medicines regulatory harmonization, priority setting
and engagement with the pharmaceutical private sector. In 2010, he published
the book “A Practical Approach to Pharmaceutical Policy”. Dr Seiter is based in Washington DC.
