Improving Global Health

The research-based pharmaceutical industry makes a major and direct contribution to improving global health through its core activity: developing innovative medicines, vaccines and biotechnology products. The industry also works to improve health in poor developing countries through a wide range of partnerships to improve access to medicines, build health care capacity and perform R&D for neglected diseases. In addition, the industry’s commitment to corporate good governance also contributes to improved health care.
