Guilherme oversees IFPMA’s activities on government outreach, innovation, intellectual property, trade, and alliance-building.

He is an expert in global health diplomacy, with emphasis on policies and processes that enable pharmaceutical innovation to thrive. He leads IFPMA engagement on multiple ongoing multilateral negotiations in Geneva and New York.

Before joining IFPMA, Guilherme was European liaison for the Brazilian start-up “Green Value” helping to promote tools for financial analysis of forest-based initiatives on several environmental projects focusing on carbon credits trading under the Kyoto Protocol.

Guilherme holds a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in Economic History from the University of Geneva as well as a bachelor’s in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
