Scientific progress can only realize its full potential when accompanied by public confidence in the institutions, expertise and evidence that underpins it.

This closed-door roundtable brought together a small group of leaders from international organizations, academia, civil society, philanthropy, and the innovative pharmaceutical industry to explore how trust can be earned and maintained across the innovation lifecycle, particularly in an era shaped by misinformation, rapid technological advances, and evolving public expectations.

The discussion focused on practical approaches to strengthening trust in science and innovation, including the role of transparency, ethics, inclusion, emerging technologies, and cross-sector collaboration in ensuring that innovation translates into healthier lives, stronger health systems, and more resilient communities.
