Health security for a safer future

This issue brief by Foreign Policy Analytics (FPA), produced with support from IFPMA, examines emerging health threats and the critical role of healthcare innovation in achieving health security goals.

The research takes stock of the emerging and persistent health threats, analyses the stakes of the global health security enterprise, and highlights how health care innovation is a critical lever for achieving health security goals.

The brief calls for strengthening support for innovation, improve surveillance and country readiness, rebuilding trust in science and public authorities, recognizing the interdependence between universal health care (UHC) and Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response (PPPR), and enhancing cooperation across public and private sectors.
