12 NOVEMBER 2025, Berlin – The Biopharmaceutical CEOs Roundtable (BCR), a global policy platform representing the world’s leading biopharmaceutical companies, convened last week in Berlin to discuss how pharmaceutical innovation can drive better health outcomes, strengthen economies, and enhance global health security.

The BCR delegation also met with Federal Chancellor Merz, along with key members of the German government to exchange views on strengthening the policy frameworks that drive pharmaceutical innovation and translate scientific progress into medicines and vaccines.

BCR members believe that sustainable solutions require multistakeholder engagement, and work in partnership with multilateral organizations and national governments.

The BCR also had a dialogue with the European Commissioner for Health and Animal Welfare, Olivér Várhelyi. The discussion focused on how the EU Life Sciences Strategy can strengthen Europe competitiveness and close the innovation gap with global peers.
