Ana-Maria is responsible for implementing IFPMA’s communications strategy, bringing to life the exciting scientific progress happening in pharmaceutical and research labs and fostering a better understanding of the industry’s contribution to global health through innovation.

In addition, she supports several other workstreams, including regulatory and ethical frameworks, as well as health security and antimicrobial resistance.

She manages media relations and digital communications, advising on the channels that will amplify the industry’s voice most. She also supports the co-creation of engagement platforms that help bring stakeholders – from international institutions to media outlets – together.

Her journey in the health sector has taken her to and from consultancies with integrated communications roles supporting private sector businesses, trade associations, and start-ups in Brussels, Paris, and Bucharest. She also held two roles in national policymaking and communications in her native country of Romania.

Ana-Maria holds a Master in European Affairs from Sciences Po Paris, and a Bachelor in Political Science from the University of Bucharest.

Working to support IFPMA’s mission and various workstreams means combining my passion for better and evidence-based policymaking with my desire to explore the best channels to do so. Whether it’s through traditional media, digital channels, or new innovative ways I'm always eager to explore what helps change hearts and minds.
