At IFPMA, Mümün works in regulatory affairs specializing in the field of biotherapeutics and advanced therapies.
He is also involved in scientific policy development and co-founded a foodtech company looking to provide better management of gut health.
Before joining IFPMA, Mümün was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University of Basel’s Biozentrum, working mainly on biological network dynamics and behavior.
Mümün holds a PhD in Systems Biology and Genetics from the University of Basel. He has a Master in Biology from University of Zurich and a Bachelor’s in Chemical and Bioengineering from ETH Zurich.
Regulatory policy is a science with uncertainty and an art of probability. It does not just consist of compounding pills; it constantly contemplates the very processes of life that must be understood before they may be guided.
